Iraq Did Have WMD's...uh, sure.

According to some previously unreleased audio tapes, Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction, and were planning on using them against the United States.
ABC to air specialThe problem with these tapes is that we have no way of identifying when they were recorded. Bill O'Reilly asked a former general when the tapes were dated and he answered somewhere between 1992 and 2000. How that proves Iraq was a threat when we attacked after 9/11, I'll never know.
This general went on to say that he believed the Bush White House wasn't pushing these tapes as proof of their initial claims for going to war because the tapes implicate France, Germany, and Russia with providing raw materials to Iraq. He also accuses Russia of sneaking into Iraq to remove the weapons prior to the attack by the United States. So according to the general, Bush doesn't want to alienate three permanent members of the U.N. Security Council by talking about these tapes. Any of this making any sense? We already alienated them by attacking Iraq in the first place.
You better believe that if these tapes were actually the smoking gun they are claiming, that the Bush White House would be all over it, especially with support for the war dropping daily.
